Welcome to Thematic Arts! Here’s a little bit of info about who we are and why we started this business.

Phillip has a life long love of theme parks and creating immersive worlds. A native of Los Angeles, CA, Phillip’s earliest and fondest memories are of going to Disneyland and learning to create that magic at home. After graduating from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA, with High Honors, Phillip realized his dream of becoming a Disney Imagineer, where he remained for 12 years. Now living in Ohio, Phillip realized his other dream, that of owning his own business, Phillip Freer Design, LLC, where he provides creative design and direction to companies designing and building theme parks throughout the world.

In his spare time, Phillip loves to create. Before he met Tracy, Phillip spent his free time making cannons (check out his You Tube), a medieval arched door, and designing and painting original art.

racy, a native of SW Ohio, has always loved history and art. She is happiest surrounded by sun and water, and relishes travel to sunny, tropical and historic places. She has vast experience in the world of hospitality and is excited to bring her love of , which allows her to understand the importance of escape

We built our house and Phillip themed it. He always dreamed of having his own Pirate Tavern, and he made this a reality, designing and constructing the tavern himself. He also designed and made all of the props in the tavern. When he felt it was finished (although really, it never is, he keeps adding items to it!) he moved on to his next project, designing and building a poolside tiki bar.

We also worked on creating and crafting custom items for our tropical escape.

Now we want to share our design experience and are pleased to offer custom crafted, theme park inspired Tiki, Pirate and Fantasy props, collectibles, small furnishings and functional items to inspire imagination and escap
